Itinerary
Upon arrival, you will be met and transferred to your hotel. Free time at leisure until tonight when you will meet your fellow travellers and Tour Director for a welcome dinner. (D)
Our morning tour will include a visit to the Hofburg Palace and we view the Belvedere Palace, the Prater Amusement Park, the UN buildings and St. Stephen’s Cathedral. The afternoon will be at leisure for you to explore on your own. (B)
Today, our journey will take us easterly across the main border into Hungary, through to the Transdanubian region, reaching Budapest in time to freshen up before dinner. (B, D)
This charming city was declared a World Heritage site in 1987. Today’s sightseeing tour includes views of the Parliament, the Royal Palace and the Castle Hill area, Gellert Hill with its Citadel, Fisherman’s Bastion, Matthias Church and Heroes’ Square. Today we travel through the lovely hills and countryside of Slovakia en route to Kraków. We enjoy dinner in Kraków upon arrival. (B, D)
Today we visit Wawel Hill, viewing the Royal Castle and visiting the Royal Cathedral. Next we take a walking tour of the Old Town and the main Market Square, Renaissance Cloth Hall and St. Mary’s Church. Afternoon is at leisure to browse through the shops. (B)
This morning we join a tour to the notorious WWII Concentration Camp of Auschwitz- Birkenau before continuing to Czestochowa and the Jasna Góra Monastery to see the painting of the “Black Madonna”. Our arrival into Warsaw is in the late afternoon. (B, D)
Today’s tour includes driving along the Royal Route from the magnificent Castle Square to Lazienki Park and the Palace, the Saxon Gardens and the Monument to the Heroes of the Warsaw Ghetto and the Palace of Science and Culture known as the “wedding cake”. Our tour starts with a panoramic drive past the famous Wenceslas Square and Castle Square. On our walking tour we visit the Royal Castle of Hradcany, St. Vitus Cathedral, the Old Royal Palace, St. George’s Basilica and the Charles Bridge. We walk through the old quarter to view the Jewish Ghetto and see the world famous Astronomical Clock. The rest of the day is at leisure to explore on your own. (B)
